Help & FAQs

Which mounting system is right for my space?
It comes down to where you have room. Ceiling mounts overhead on a flat ceiling and frees up the most floor and wall space. Wall mounts horizontally along a wall, ideal where the ceiling is out of reach. Angle is built for sloped or pitched ceilings, the awkward overhead spaces a standard ceiling kit cannot handle. Freestanding needs no drilling at all, so it suits rented spaces, finished walls, or anywhere you want to move your storage later.
How much space do I need, and how many bikes will fit?
Every system hangs bikes vertically by the wheel, and the hooks slide and rotate along the rail so you can push bikes together and stagger the handlebars. That fits far more bikes into the same run than floor storage. Each guide lists the exact rail length, fixing-hole positions and clearances for your kit, so measure your space against the diagram before drilling. If you are choosing between sizes, the configurator on each product page shows how many bikes each rail length holds.
What tools and fixings do I need?
For Ceiling, Wall and Angle systems you will need a drill, the correct fixings for your wall or ceiling type, and the hex key used to set the hooks. The kits ship with screws suitable for timber and masonry. Freestanding needs no drill and only basic assembly. The first page of each guide lists the exact tools and what is in the box, so check it before you begin.
Can I install it myself?
Yes. Every system is designed for straightforward DIY fitting and most installs take well under an hour. Ceiling, Wall and Angle systems must be fixed into something solid, a timber joist or stud, brick, or concrete, rather than plasterboard alone, so locate your fixing points first. If your wall is not suitable for drilling, the Freestanding system is the no-fix alternative.
Will it hold heavy bikes and e-bikes?
SpaceRail is built to take the full range of bikes, including heavier e-bikes and fat bikes. For wide or fat tyres, the Fat Tyre Adapter lets the hook seat properly without swapping parts, and the Charge Station keeps an e-bike charger neatly on the rail. Always fix into a solid structure as set out in your guide so the mounting carries the load safely.
