Introducing the Freestand Wheel Kit

When we released the Freestand system, the goal was simple. Create a completely modular bike storage frame that doesn’t need drilling, anchors, or a permanent place to live. The system was designed to move bikes off the walls and out of corners, into something that could evolve with the rider and the space around them.

Pretty quickly after launching Freestand, we noticed something. People wanted mobility. Larger workshops, velodromes, and commercial fleets were shifting bikes around constantly. They wanted to push an entire line of bikes across the room in one motion. Not unhook. Not carry. Not shuttle bikes back and forth. Just move the lot.

The Freestand WheelKit was one of the very first ideas that followed the original Freestand frame concept. It always felt like the logical next step.

Why we built it

During prototype testing, we worked with velodromes and commercial workshop environments. They used Freestand frames loaded with multiple bikes, then moved them around like rolling bike displays. Watching an entire fleet glide smoothly across polished flooring confirmed that this was the right direction.

With that came a new challenge. When bikes sway or move on a rolling structure, you need to add protection where the bikes might make contact. That became the catalyst for our Launch Pad product. Both products now work together to keep bikes protected while rolling as a single unit.

What’s included and why it matters

Handlebar

  • Width: 700 millimeters

  • Diameter: 22 millimeters to fit standard MTB grips

  • Height is adjustable and locks securely

  • Includes comfortable MTB style lock grips

The handlebar gives you stable steering and allows the user to guide a fully loaded system smoothly and confidently. It turns your bike storage into a highly maneuverable trolley.

Castors

  • High strength castors rated for a combined total load of 250 kilograms

  • Two castors lock so the system stays put when needed

  • Soft rubber wheels that are non marking

  • Direct M10 thread switchover from the Freestand feet

These wheels turn the Freestand into a mobile bike stand. No tools. No compromise. Just swap the feet for the castors and your Freestand becomes a rolling unit.

Shock Absorbing Tape

  • Three meters of 50 millimeter wide cushioning tape included

This tape applies to the inside of the Freestand uprights to give extra protection and reduce contact between the frame and the bikes when rolling.

Trolley Stopper

  • Simple slide and turn wing bolt mechanism that fixes a SpaceRail trolley in place

This started as a solution for SpaceRails used inside vans and boats. It stops the trolley from sliding freely in transit. Once we had the WheelKit prototypes, it became even more useful. Locking the trolley means no movement when rolling across flooring or positioning bikes in a tight area.

Who is it for

  • Velodromes and commercial fleet managers

  • Riders with multiple bikes stored in a garage or workshop

  • Anyone who needs to regularly move sets of bikes for cleaning, maintenance, or photography shoots

The Freestand WheelKit is suitable for both the 4 bike and 8 bike Freestand systems.

The payoff

You can load bikes once, then move your entire setup anywhere in the room. No heavy lifting. No juggling handlebars. No accidental frame knocks. Just smooth movement.

From an R and D point of view, the Freestand WheelKit represents what Stashed does best. We spot the friction. We find the simple solution. Then we build it to last.

If mobility and modularity are part of your garage setup, this upgrade makes your Freestand unstoppable.

SAM REYNOLDS x STASHED // A Garage Makeover Built for a Legend
When we decided to look into a garage makeover, there was one athlete who immediately came to mind. Someone whose riding style, personality and pure love of bikes make him the perfect match for what we do. That person was Sam Reynolds. A true icon of freeride, a builder of wild ideas and one of MTB’s most loved characters. So when the chance came to transform Sam’s garage, we went all in. Watch the video:     From chaos to calm Sam’s original setup had all the charm of a rider with too many projects and not enough time. Bikes stacked, gear everywhere, tools tucked into places only Sam could remember. It had personality, sure, but it didn’t have the flow or clarity an athlete of his level deserves. That is where the Stashed team stepped in. We fitted Sam with a full six-bike SpaceRail ceiling system, instantly clearing floor space and giving him smooth, glide-to-access storage that matches his fast, fluid style of riding. And with even more bikes arriving this year, we’re already lining up extra rails to keep his setup evolving. Partnering with Garage Style for the full upgrade To create something truly special, we teamed up with Garage Style who installed new flooring, lighting and one of their signature Bunker cabinet systems. The result is a clean, modern, high-performance space that feels more like a pro workshop than a garage. Everything has a place. Every bike has a home. And Sam finally has a space that works as hard as he does.   More to come in 2026 This collaboration is only the beginning. We’ll be working closely with Sam throughout the year to bring you exclusive behind-the-scenes content, big build moments, gear insight, ride prep, and the kind of unscripted stories only Sam can deliver. Expect fun. Expect chaos turned into order. Expect a lot of bikes. Sam Reynolds isn’t just a partner. He’s exactly the kind of rider Stashed was built for: passionate, creative, always pushing the limits. And now he has the setup to match. Alongside Sam’s garage upgrade, you might notice a few new shapes appearing on the walls. Clean lines. Modular panels. A system built to bring order to busy kit rooms and make every piece of gear easy to find. We’re not revealing everything just yet, but this new setup will change the way riders organise their space. Clearer. Smarter. Ready for action. Keep an eye out. The next chapter is on its way. Stay tuned. The year ahead is going to be a good one.
