What's actually wrong with these rails?
Cosmetic damage only — typically a minor scrape or mark on the rail, or a small blemish on a hook. Every Almost Perfect rail is built to the same engineering spec and tested to the same standard as a full-price SpaceRail. We won't sell anything with a structural fault.
Is the guarantee the same as a full-price SpaceRail?
Yes — identical. The 5 Year Guarantee covers Almost Perfect rails on the same terms as retail, commercial use included. Fully repairable — every part available as a spare.
Will it scratch my carbon frame or paintwork?
No. The hooks use a Composition Polymer cover that's carbon-rim and paint-safe — same hardware as a full-price rail. Cosmetic marks are on the rail itself, not on the contact points with your bike.
Does it work with eBikes and full-suspension MTBs?
Yes. Each hook is rated 30 kg and tested with hydraulic brakes and suspension forks by JTec Suspension. Auto-Lock holds the hook still under no load, so even a 25 kg eBike is a one-handed lift. For tyres over 3" or 60 mm+ carbon rims, add the FA[S]T Adapter.
Can I bundle an Almost Perfect rail with Launch Pads?
Yes — bundle pricing applies. Pair any rail with a Launch Pad Protection Set or the FreeWheel Kit and the discount kicks in at checkout. Worth doing — Launch Pads are how we keep cranks and rear mechs off the wall on family installs.
Can you send me a photo of the exact damage?
We can't — these rails are boxed and ready for immediate despatch. What you'll find is typically a minor scrape or mark on the rail, or a small blemish on a hook. Never a structural fault.
What if I'd rather buy a perfect one?
Straight to the main range: Ceiling, Wall, Angle or Freestanding. Same engineering, no cosmetic marks, full retail price.
How does delivery and returns work?
