COMMON QUESTIONS
The SpaceRail requires a minimum ceiling height of 2.2m (7'2"). It mounts to ceiling joists or a solid wall, and the rail length is fully customisable. Most standard UK and US garages are more than tall enough. If you're unsure, book a free call and we'll help you measure up.
The SpaceRail is modular, so you can configure it to hold anywhere from 2 to 10+ bikes. Each bike hook slides freely along the rail, so spacing adjusts to fit any mix of adult and kids' bikes. Our most popular setup is the 6-bike bundle.
Most customers complete installation in 30-60 minutes with basic DIY tools (drill, spirit level, tape measure). We include step-by-step guides and video walkthroughs. One customer installed theirs in just 15 minutes!
The SpaceRail works with virtually all bike types: road, mountain, gravel, e-bikes, kids' bikes, and even fat bikes. The adjustable hooks accommodate different wheel sizes and frame geometries. For heavier e-bikes, we recommend our reinforced hooks which support up to 25kg per bike.
